ABOUT
A lifelong interest in light and a desire to create an alternative choice in the world of textile quickly developed into a pipeline of original lighting and design projects. The idea blossomed into DAGGRY – the Scandinavian term for sunrise, beginning of light.
What began as a conversation across the dining table, accelerated two families into the creative process that now inspires a company dedicated to thoughtful and personal design and an exploration of sustainable natural materials, rooted in home and the ambition of change.
The core of DAGGRY is function, form and responsibility - elegantly and simply combined. The aesthetic is modern and minimal, adapting to the surrounding environments and the practicalities of day-to-day life. Simplicity and ambition to care for the product origin and afterlife, brought DAGGRY to life.
THE FOUNDERS
Per Ryland's entry into the world of design was unconventional. Ryland’s lifelong passion for drawing connected the two DAGGRY co-founders through their shared passion for furniture design. From working over a decade in the furniture industry, Linn-Cecilie Hjulmand Tandberg partnered up with Ryland on an innovative journey combining furniture and lighting design with the world of textile.
The DAGGRY bed linen collection will launch at the Norwegian market in November 2024 and the Forest Eye lighting collection is planned to launch in 2025.
